Throughout Luke, Jesus has been telling us that he is on the side of those on the margins. He is on the side of the poor, the hungry, the mourners, and the hated.9 He is on the side of justice for all people. If a fire is coming,10 if Christ has come so that the world might be saved through him,11 then we would be wise to remember the people who we claim to be. Who is at our table? Who is our family? And what are we called to do?
