When we ask for forgiveness, God makes us new, and cleanses us of sin. But it does mean that, even when we feel that we are unforgivable for the things that we have done, God makes us new. God forgives, even if we find it difficult to forgive ourselves. God prepares our hearts for grace, forgiving us and giving us the power to forgive ourselves and one another.
